Members of the Department of History of Technology at our institute recently visited the Oxford History of Science Museum to conduct technical examinations on several astronomical instruments exhibited there.

During the visit, head of the Department of the History of Technology Assistant Professor Taha Yasin Arslan, along with research assistants Afra Akyol and Beyzanur Topçuoğlu, examined various astronomical instruments, such as celestial globes and astrolabes. The examination focused on the instruments' historical development, structural features, and functional purposes.
