The 6th International Mehmet Akif Ersoy Science and Arts Awards, traditionally organized by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, were held in Burdur on 22 December 2025.
During the ceremony, awards were presented in arts and science categories, along with several special awards, with the aim of bringing Mehmet Akif Ersoy’s intellectual and cultural legacy into dialogue with high-quality scholarly and artistic work. In the science category, awards were conferred under the subfields of Natural Sciences, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences.
Within this framework, the Science Category – Social Sciences Award was presented to Prof. Dr. İhsan Fazlıoğlu, Director of the Institute for the History of Science at Istanbul Medeniyet University.
