Assoc. Prof. Elif Baga, Vice Director of the Institute for the History of Science and Head of the Department of History of Mathematical Sciences at Istanbul Medeniyet University, has achieved a significant milestone in the 11th edition of the Sheikh Hamad Award for Translation and International Understanding, widely regarded as one of the most prestigious honors in the field.
At the ceremony held in Doha, Qatar, which aims to strengthen intercultural dialogue, Assoc. Prof. Baga was awarded Second Prize for her exemplary translation of Ibn al-Ha’im al-Maqdisi’s work, Al-Mumti' fi Sharh al-Muqni'. Her meticulous contribution to the worlds of science and literature has been a source of great pride for our Institute. We extend our heartiest congratulations to our esteemed colleague and wish her continued success in her scholarly endeavors.
