Institute for the History of Science

The first of the Semaniye Talks series, organized by our Institute and focusing on the history of science, is set to take place. The opening lecture of the series will address the life and works of the great astronomer and mathematician, Ali Kuşçu.

The inaugural conference, titled "Ali Kuşçu's Life Before Istanbul," will be delivered by Prof. Shuhrat Ehgamberdiev from the Ulugh Beg Astronomical Institute of the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences. Prof. Ehgamberdiev will share an academic overview of Ali Kuşçu’s critical years before his arrival in Istanbul.
