COMMEMORATION AT ALI KUŞÇU'S GRAVE AND CONFERENCE (I)

Within the scope of the "From Samarqand to Istanbul: Ali Kuşçu and His Circle Manuscript Exhibition," which was organized in collaboration with our Institute, the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA), and the Presidency of Turkish Manuscripts Institution (YEK), and opened on November 18, 2024, various conferences and workshops will be held at the Rami Library by our Institute's faculty members, with the support of the Istanbul Governorship.

On Monday, December 16, 2024, at 13:30, on the anniversary of his passing, there will be a gathering at Ali Kuşçu's grave in the Eyüp Sultan Tomb Complex (Hazire) where the Qur'an will be recited and prayers will be offered. The planned events will then begin at 15:00 with a conference by our Institute Director, Prof. Dr. İhsan Fazlıoğlu, titled "A Quest Between Concept, Number, and Quantity: Ali Kuşçu." The workshop and conference schedule will be announced later.

Following the conference, attendees will be able to tour the exhibition accompanied by manuscript experts.

The entire program is open to everyone.

Note: The conference will be held in Hall number 176 at the Rami Library.
