Prof. Dr. Atilla Bir, who made great contributions to the studies of history of science and technology in our country with his original and translated books, articles, papers, and lectures, passed away on October 7, 2024. Our Institute, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University (FSMVU), and Istanbul University will jointly organize a panel to commemorate him and his work on the anniversary of his death.
The panel will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kaçar, Head of the Department of History of Science at FSMVU. The speakers will be Prof. Dr. Sevtap Kadıoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Letters and Head of the Department of History of Science at Istanbul University, and Research Assistant Enes Güllü from the Department of History of Technology at our Institute.
The panel will take place at the FSMVU Gülhane Campus at 14:00 and is open to all participants.
